The Waites of Gloucester are modelled on the band of musicians run by the City of Gloucester in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. Simon Pickard, Fenella Spiers, Mark Venn and Rachel Tedd play a variety instruments including curtal (dulcian), crumhorn, recorder, sordune, flute, cornett, rebec and more. They appreciate opportunities to visit new venues and bring some of the music of the Tudor and Jacobean periods to new audiences.
